PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): develop programming based on consumer Person Centered Planning and other supportive documents, be an active member of a team, be supportive in areas of work, daily living skills, and community inclusion.

The right candidate would have 2 years experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities. We offer paid training for the right individual. Computer and data entry skills required.

Preferred: CPR/First Aid trained, medication and behavior management experience desired.

Classification: nonexempt

Rate of pay: $11.00 per hour in addition to health, dental, simple IRA, paid time off, life insurance, paid holidays, and referral bonuses.

PROGRAM ASSISTANT

We have a rare opening – working one to one with an individual in our program.

The right candidate would have 1 year experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities. We offer paid training for the right individual.

Rate of pay: $10.50 per hour in addition to paid time off, life insurance, paid holidays, and referral bonuses.

Volunteer Coordinator

 Lake County Developmental Achievement Center in Two Harbors, 2017 Nonprofit of the Year award winner, seeks a dynamic, part-time Volunteer Coordinator with a core belief in promoting excellence. You will organize, coordinate and manage volunteer recruitment for activities, programs and committees. Essential functions include:

  • Work with social, civic and local organizations to cultivate partnerships to engage volunteers
  • Recommend and develop ongoing volunteer roles and opportunities
  • Coordinate interviews and training for all prospective volunteers
  • Maintain accurate records on all volunteers and volunteer activities
  • Attend Board, committee and community meetings as needed
  • Report to staff and Board of Directors on volunteer program activities
  • Implement volunteer recognition program and conduct annual volunteer program evaluation
  • Coordinate volunteer schedule with DAC staff members, identify needs and gaps, and integrate volunteers into programs or activities
  • Provide approved job descriptions for individual volunteers and volunteer teams
  • Maintain consistent, effective communication with volunteers to provide support and show appreciation.

Position is 12 hours per week and we are pleased to offer a competitive wage starting at $13/hour DOE. Preferred Qualifications: Two years post high-school education in social sciences, communication or related field, minimum of three years’ experience successfully managing volunteer programs. Experience with DHS 245 regulations a plus.
